Welcome to New Braunfels, remote workers!
As a digital nomad myself, I understand the need for conducive workspaces that aren’t our home’s kitchen counter or home office tables. That’s why in this article, we’ll cover the most remote-work-friendly cafes around New Braunfels.
Now, let’s find you a workspace!
1. 2Tarts Bakery

Location: 139 N Castell Ave, Suite 300, New Braunfels, TX 78130
Hours: Open 7 days a week, 7:00 AM – 10:00 PM
Vibe: Bright, friendly bakery atmosphere that’s small but inviting. This feels more like a neighborhood spot than a corporate coffee chain, which gives it charm but also means it fills up quickly.
Wi-Fi & Seating: The internet is typically reliable, which is good because that’s the first thing you need. Seating, however, can fill up fast due to the bakery’s popularity. It’s a smaller space, so you’re not guaranteed a table during busy times.
Food & Drinks: Two Tarts is known for its desserts and baked goods—vegan and gluten-free options are their specialty. If you need motivation to finish a project, promising yourself a brownie after you complete the task actually works here because the brownies are worth it.

Working Tip: Go earlier in the day for the best chance at seating and the freshest selection of baked goods. By mid-morning, the popular items start selling out, and tables get claimed by the brunch crowd.
2. Crosswalk Coffeehouse & Cafe

Location: 471 Main Plaza, Suite A, New Braunfels, TX 78130
Hours: Monday-Friday 6:30 AM – 4:00 PM, Saturday-Sunday 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Vibe: Relaxed local coffee shop with the kind of atmosphere that makes you feel like you’re supporting something community-focused rather than a corporate chain.
Wi-Fi & Seating: Good balance of indoor seating with a layout that works for laptop users. Tables are spaced reasonably.

Working Tip: Bring your charger and scope out outlet locations when you arrive. Outlets are available but somewhat limited, depending on where you sit.
3. 2 Rivers Coffee

Location: 2351 TX Loop 337, Suite A, New Braunfels, TX 78130
Hours: Open daily 6:00 AM – 8:00 PM
Vibe: Livelier space with more social energy. The cafe has a buzzy atmosphere, though, which understandably can deter some who prefer a more conducive workspace.
Feedback from a Customer: “2 Rivers is a little loud but has comfortable and adequate seating. If you have noise-canceling headphones or can work with ambient noise, it isn’t a problem.”
Signature Drinks to Try: Prices start at $5.50 for a small, and there are some standout favorites worth ordering. The Frozen 2Rivers is their best-selling white chocolate latte with caramel. And if caffeine isn’t your thing, they’ve also got tea and smoothies, so everyone’s covered.

Wi-Fi & Seating: Comfortable, well-spaced seating that’s actually designed for people to settle in. The internet is good and reliable.
Tips for Working From Coffee Shops
Here are personal tips I want to share with you as a frequent coffeeshop worker myself:
Bring headphones even if you think you won’t need them. Noise levels change throughout the day; what’s quiet at 8 AM might be chaotic by 10 AM when the morning rush hits. Having noise-canceling headphones (or even just earbuds) gives you control over your audio environment.
Plan around peak times. Mid-morning (9-11 AM) and weekend brunch hours are when coffee shops get busiest. If you need seating and don’t want to wait, go early morning or early afternoon when things quiet down.
Support the space. If you’re camping out for four hours, buy drinks or food periodically. Most coffee shop owners are fine with laptop workers as long as you’re actually a customer, not just using their Wi-Fi and space without spending money.
Be considerate! Remember that at the end of the day, these cafes are small businesses trying to survive in the very competitive food and beverage landscape.
Your Next Cafe Workspace Awaits!
Working remotely in New Braunfels comes with plenty of great options, whether you need a quiet corner to power through spreadsheets or a lively coffee shop where creative energy flows.
Grab your laptop, pick your spot based on what you’re trying to accomplish today, and settle in. New Braunfels might be known for its rivers and German heritage, but it’s also quietly becoming a solid place for remote workers to get stuff done, Texas Hill Country style.
We hope this list helps you to be as productive as you need to be!
