A Texas Girl Dies Due To A Massive Aluminum Piece Falling From Flatbed Trailer

The accident happened at around 5:30 a.m. on Monday on Poplar Street Bridge – Illinois State.

 

A Texas girl, 5 years old, is dead on Mississippi River bridge at St. Louis after a 34,000-pound aluminum piece fell down from an aluminum flatbed trailer.

Till now police have not identified the girl, just known that she was from Texarkana, Texas.

 

The witness said the child was sitting in sleeper berth of a Peterbilt truck, which was pulling a huge aluminum piece on a flatbed trailer. Suddenly the truck crashed into a concrete center median then the piece of aluminum got out of control. As a result, it struck the back of the truck and made it overturned.

 

The tragic accident occurred when the girl was ejected and then died at a local hospital.

 

Janette Kirby, 44-year-old truck driver from Texarkana, and other two male passengers of 15 and 17 years old were also treated in the hospital for minor injuries.
